The landing page is the first page of your website where a visitor visits. Each website/company has its own landing page where they are driving all their traffic even if they are unaware of it. A visitor can reach your landing page either from Search Engine Results, online advertisement, email marketing or any other method. Therefore, creating a killer landing page can put a remarkable effect on your conversion rate and can increase your online sales or can help you in fulfilling your other desired goals which you want to attain through your landing page.

Tips to Create Killer Landing Page that Sells:

Custom Landing Page for Each Offer: – You need to create custom landing pages targeting a specific offer. The title and text of the ad which send visitors should be similar to the landing page. Don’t send all your traffic to your homepage or to a page which contains information about other offers too as these things can deviate the user mind and your conversion rate could be low.

Clear Call to Action: - Your landing page should have clear call to action which you want your visitor to take. A call to action could be to purchase a product, providing information or any other thing you want your visitor to do.

No Unnecessary Information: – Your landing page should contain only that Information which is required for your visitor to take decision and to perform desired action. Don’t fill your landing page with unwanted information as it can distract your visitor mind and you won’t be having a good conversion rate.

No Distractions: - There should be no distractions on your landing page as it can put your visitor in confusion and change his decision. Don’t put any distracting navigational links. Landing page is not for browsing the site it’s for conversions.

Keep it Simple: - Keep your landing page simple. Avoid using lot of images and Flash. Tests had shown that such landing pages have poor conversion rate.

Effective Sales Copy: – You need an effective sales copy which can push your visitor to take desired action. The content of your landing page should be short and straightforward. Break big paragraphs to short ones and use effective titles.

Easy To load: - An idle landing page should load in less than 8 seconds. Many people in remote areas are still using the dial up connection. Your landing pages should be able to load quickly even on slow connections.

Test, Modify and Test again: – Testing a landing page is very important to understand the behavior of your visitors and increase the conversion rate. It’s always good to create multiple landing pages for a same campaign and then see which page converts most. After that you can make more improvements to that landing page and test it again.

If your title tag is only search engine friendly but not human reader friendly, then you will not get many return visitors. No one is going to want to follow a link if it looks like a bunch of gibberish, even if it is coming up high in the results on a search engine for your keywords.

When reading the title tag for your web page, search engines give the most importance to the beginning of the title. The shorter the title, the more weight each word will end up receiving as a result. If you use a longer title that has more words, then each word is going to seem less important and therefore less relevant when it comes to the search engine results.

You should only be using the words that are absolutely necessary, and that have the most relevant use. Don’t simply string together a bunch of useless keywords because it will not benefit anyone.

Creating meta tags that are friendly both to visitors and search engines can be tricky, but it is an important part of optimizing your site as a whole and every individual web page for search engine friendliness while still appealing to your human visitors. It is the balance between the two that makes for a good website.

While it is true that some websites are going to correct you if they think you meant something else, but this is only if a word you entered is more commonly spelled in some other manner. If the word isn’t suspected to be spelled wrong, how will the searcher benefit?

Here is something else to consider: Even when the search engine knows that a word is being misspelled, it is still going to return results. So it may be saying “Did you mean misspelled?” when you type in “mispelled”, but it is still going to display results with the misspelled word in place. So who knows if there’s a company, a person or a place out there that is spelling their name differently from yours? Your valuable visitors and traffic may be going somewhere else because they were looking for you but they mistakenly found someone else instead. The search engines are going to return results whether they perceive the word to be misspelled or not. Would you rather appear in the search engine results page when the keyword terms are spelled correctly, or incorrectly as well?

While many people using search engines may simply click on the top link and then continue to search using the right spelling of the word, there are also users that are probably not going to do this. They will choose, instead, to forge ahead, and to select whatever site appears first on the list regardless of whether or not the words are being spelled correctly. When all of your words in your content are spelled correctly, and you are only optimizing your content for the words that are spelled properly, then those users are never going to find your content because they only see the results that are spelled improperly. Is this a big deal? Is this going to affect you in any way? The most important question to ask you is this: How many visitors are you losing?

Anyone is capable of making a mistake: This truth has never become more evident than it has online. Casual surfers online are creating misspelled words all the time, to the point where businesses are learning how to capitalize on the most commonly misspelled terms and words. These companies are focusing on common misspellings in order to sweep up all of the traffic that would be accidently diverted away from them. They are enjoying a great increase in traffic as a result of this. Think about how quickly people are surfing online, and you will more than likely realize that there are likely to be misspellings occurring with every passing moment.

4 – Comment in other related blogs.

Blogs are designed to act as conversations. If you have insights to add to a conversation, or a comment that you want to make, by all means, make it. Leave your e-mail address and a link back to your website, and you will actually be able to get blog traffic simply by participating in online conversations elsewhere on the internet. This is a quick, easy and interactive way to get blog traffic when you are looking for more visitors to your website.

5 – Keep blogging!

The more content that you have, the more visitors you will have, because blog readers love content and are constantly looking for fresh and new information and content. If you provide it, they will find it, and if you continue to provide it, they will continue to return time and time again to read it. It really is this simple. Content is one of the most vital aspects of the blogging process. If you are not posting content, your visitors will never find you or have a reason to stick around once they do.
