The shorter the title, the more weight each word will end up receiving as a result. If you use a longer title that has more words, then each word is going to seem less important and therefore less relevant when it comes to the search engine results.
You should only be using the words that are absolutely necessary, and that have the most relevant use. Don’t simply string together a bunch of useless keywords because it will not benefit anyone.
Creating meta tags that are friendly both to visitors and search engines can be tricky, but it is an important part of optimizing your site as a whole and every individual web page for search engine friendliness while still appealing to your human visitors. It is the balance between the two that makes for a good website.
