If readers know that they can expect new information on a regular interval they are much more likely to check up on your blog and even subscribe to the RSS. I have about 10-20 "anytime articles" that I have "scheduled" in my blog. Should I get busy, have writers block, or just decide to disappear for the weekend the show will go on without me. But when I come up with a new blog post I'd like to write about immediately, I can always reschedule the "anytime" posts to a later date.
