Excellent post. I’m always looking to drive traffic, especially to my new blogs. One tip I’d like to leave is to go to niche related forums and let them know you have a blog you want them to check out, and while there they can pick up a free gift (newsletter, report, video etc.) But nothing trumps Social Networking these days.

@Sue2Sue lol..that’s very funny . I got distracted myself but I really pushed through with the reading. There are actually valuable information here. One of the strategies I do to increase traffic to my site is by joining social networking sites. I agree,create powerful partnerships and build a huge fan base and eventually you’ll have potential clients or buyers and your business is back on track. Nice post!

I have 2-3 blog, where i post on regular basis. I think facebook, twitter and emailing to friends is best way to drive traffic, i use twitterfeed to reduce my work… It automatically post link for blogpost at facebook, twitter, pingfm and digg… It cool tool to work with… you can also find some more tips at my blog

Quality content will often trump quantity. You could post a million meaningless posts and get a million views or just post 1. Become the authority on the topic and the traffic will follow. Some markets have bigger demographics but if you own the majority of the market share and have good position in search engine results almost any blog will get good traffic. Sometimes the most oddball niche topics get all the traffic…probably because nobody is blogging about those topics but plenty of people are searching for them.

What I do to drive traffic is I use materials that most of the people that go online are interested in. We cannot deny that there are millions of people go online to play, that's why I put games on my site to drive traffic to it and what's nice about it is I also earn revenues for doing it, and it drives loyal visitors who also refer friends to visit it. I use games from YourKidsClub because they got wide variety of games that can help promote my niche.

I think if the content you offered is important or interested enough, people will be willing to spend time on the surveys that they have to answer ahead.
For example, if you are offering online video clips people are keen to watch online or download, it will make better motivation.
